MS-RT Wins High-Profile Industry Award
Added: 17 December 2019
MS-RT, a Welsh company who produce bespoke performance version of Ford vans, have won a prestigious award for its conversions, which are constructed by hand at a factory in Torfaen, South Wales.
The Pontypool-based manufacturer took home the Editor’s Choice honour in the high-profile What Van Awards 2020, held at a prestigious London venue. Judges praised MS-RT for its innovation and manufacturing facilities.
The recognition follows on from a fantastic 18 months for the Welsh manufacturer, who launched its new Transit Custom in 2018 and a performance version of the Transit Connect in early 2019.
This December, MS-RT also revealed a special edition R185 version of its Transit Custom, with rally decals and a limited 40-model production run.
Its conversions are in high-demand, proving especially popular with private business owners and leisure users. Each van is constructed by hand at MS-RT’s Pontypool factory, which employs over 40 staff, all individually trained to meet the company’s exacting levels of craftsmanship.
MS-RT Founding Director, Edward Davies, said: “Over the past 18 months we’ve seen unprecedented growth and demand for our vans and have attracted quite a bit of media attention as a result. It’s absolutely amazing to receive an accolade such as this, which is a real testimony to the hard work, enthusiasm, craftsmanship and dedication shown by every single person who works here.”
